How Looking Presentable Everyday Will Make You More Productive
You love rolling out of bed and working in your PJs.
There is nothing like the knowledge that at any moment, you can crawl back in bed and sleep a little more.
There is one slight issue.
That creeping desire to get back in bed.
It's WAAAY easier to give in if you're wearing pajamas!
I know, I know, your reason for working from home is the freedom to do whatever the heck you want.
It's a beautiful thing to be on your own schedule and look like a hot frumpled mess when you feel like it.
*yes. I did make frumpled up.
Studies show that the clothes your wear can effect the way you work and interact with others – even if that means you are interacting through email, or writing a post. Your clothes can be negatively impacting the work you get done.
There is something about getting up and getting dressed that says:
"I'm bout to seize this freakin' day"
Instead of, "I think Imma eat a pancake now." (Not that you shouldn't eat a pancake. You totally should)
When you get up and get dressed in something that makes you look great, you feel a boost of confidence even if no one sees you.
It doesn't matter. We are talking about what it takes to build your confidence as a creative entrepreneur. You know how easy it is to fall in a state of self doubt, so why not take every opportunity you can to boost your confidence
The process of putting an outfit together will jump start your creative thinking. It is basically problem solving and answers the questions:
"What should I wear today?"
Starting your day by solving a problem is the perfect way to get your productivity started.

GET YOUR DAY GOING
When you get up and start your day by getting dressed, there is a psychological trigger that causes you to get moving. On a basic level, you think, "I ain't get dressed for nothing."
Looking presentable puts it in your mind that you are going to be productive. It makes you think about your day and the things that you have to do instead of lugging around the house for a few hours. When you get up right away and get dressed, you begin to consider all the things that you have to do. Hint, Netflix doesn't pop in your mind, but when you take the extra time to lay around in your pajamas, Netflix sounds much better than doing work.
Make it a practice to choose an outfit the night before. Just the idea of planning will help you to keep it going – even that small accomplishment makes it easier for you to feel encouraged to plan out your work schedule as well.
Now, you know already – when you look good, you feel good. The concept certainly ain't a new thing so go ahead and put on those fly clothes and start making moves!
Beyond your appearance, you feel good about yourself because of the fact that you have built a look that is totally you.
